Privacy Policy — Simple Stats

This notice covers what is specific to Simple Stats, the plain-English Shopify analytics app. It adds detail on top of the privacy notice common to every Keelhelm app and the company-wide Keelhelm Privacy Policy; read them together. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

Simple Stats is a Keelhelm app. This notice adds Simple Stats-specific detail on top of the common Privacy Policy for Keelhelm Shopify Apps and the company-wide Keelhelm Privacy Policy, which set our baseline practices and your rights. What Simple Stats processes

Store data (read-only) — your orders, products, and customers, read through Shopify's API under the permissions you grant at install, used only to compute your metrics and daily summary. Simple Stats never requests permission to write to your store, theme, or checkout.
Computed metrics & narratives — the revenue, order, average-order-value, and repeat-rate figures and plain-English summaries Simple Stats generates from your store data, stored so your dashboard and history load instantly.

Install and account info, operational logs, and aggregate analytics are handled as described in the common app privacy notice.

How our narratives are generated (no model training)

The plain-English summaries are produced by fixed, auditable rules over your own precomputed metrics — not a model that learns from merchant data. Simple Stats does not use your data to train any AI model.

How long Simple Stats keeps your data

On the free plan, Simple Stats retains a rolling recent window of your metrics (about 90 days). On paid plans, history accumulates while you're subscribed, up to a 13-month rolling window so year-over-year comparisons work. Computed metrics and narratives are kept while the app is installed and deleted on uninstall as described below. Broader retention baselines are in the common app privacy notice.

Uninstalling and data deletion

When you uninstall Simple Stats, or when Shopify sends the mandatory customers/data_request, customers/redact, or shop/redact webhooks on your behalf, we delete or anonymize the corresponding data within the timeframe Shopify's developer requirements specify. You can also email us at any time to request deletion sooner.

Your rights and everything else

What we don't do (no sale, no ads, no model training), sub-processors, your GDPR/CCPA rights, international transfers, security, and children are covered by the common app privacy notice and the Keelhelm Privacy Policy.
